"Interlocking Figures" Giclee Print

from $20.00

Interlocking figures is a pen and ink drawing from a sketchbook made in 2016. During this period Amos was filling pages with distorted human figures, playing with scale, shape and anatomy as he evolved from a character-design, graphic style into more personal and expressive works. this drawing incorporates a number of ordinary objects with some that are purely imaginative, including doughnuts, spilling coffee, an old-fashioned adding machine, and a hockey mask, along with extremely elongated heads and decapitated bodies. All in good fun! The pink tone here was added when we created fabric using the artwork for a beanbag chair. Amos often colorized his work in bright jewel tones when posting it on Instagram, and did other digital distortions of color including reversed color and capturing “glitch” patterns from video.

The original was photographed in high resolution on a digital large format camera by Simone Associates. This giclee digital print was made on archival paper. Ink will eventually fade in direct sunlight.
