"Honey, I'm Home" Giclee Print

from $20.00

Honey, I’m Home is a multimedia (pen, ink, gel pen, watercolor and gouache) drawing on watercolor paper approximately 10” x 12” . It was made in the Spring of 2018 by Amos Lemon as he left (against medical advice) a residential treatment center for drug and alcohol use and dually diagnosed mental illness. It was made partially during the brief period where he was drug-and-alcohol free, and then as he began to use again. The Altoids box was where he stored Xanax and there is an image of a pill near the bottom, along with two spoons, two forks and two cups that he packed for his journey. Overlapping faces float in a layer above the main figure, which is a self-portrait. His Jeep is on the winding road and an airplane crosses the sky, as he journeyed to make a new “home” with his girlfriend.

The original was photographed in high resolution on a digital large format camera by Simone Associates. This giclee digital print was made on archival paper. Ink will eventually fade in direct sunlight.

ALB Limited Edition merchandise are exclusively available from the Amos Lemon Burkhart estate collection. 100% of all profits are donated. 50% of proceeds go to scholarships for drug and alcohol treatment for young adults, and 50% goes to college art scholarships.
