"Spent Too Much Time Looking" Giclee Print

from $20.00

Spent Too Much Time Looking is an oil painting on canvas, approx. 18” x 24”. It was one of Amos Lemon’s first attempts at painting on canvas. The watercolor effect was created with linseed oil. The enigmatic figure probably represents a girlfriend, but could also be a self-portrait. It is deliberately nongendered, as are many of the figures in his work. There are clouds and plants in the background, and an outlined “ALB” signature at the bottom right.

Lemon created the painting on his own in an art studio in the barn, where he would obsessively work for hours as soon as he got home from school. This was made in his junior year of high school. There are similarities in this piece to the work of Ashley Wood, an artist who crosses genres between graphic novels, fine art and illustration.

The original was photographed in high resolution on a digital large format camera by Simone Associates. This giclee digital print was made on archival paper. Ink will eventually fade in direct sunlight.

ALB Limited Edition merchandise are exclusively available from the Amos Lemon Burkhart estate collection. 100% of all profits are donated. 50% of proceeds go to scholarships for drug and alcohol treatment for young adults, and 50% goes to college art scholarships.
